Over the ages, people have embarked upon pilgrimages to religious sites and relics. Despite dangers from nature and man, they walked for hundreds of miles, strong in the faith that they would find blessings and fulfillment at their destinations. Many never finished their journeys. People in current times have fled the violence from their countries and also walked for hundreds of miles, with nothing else but the faith that they will find fulfillment in terms of safety at the end of their sojourn. I sourced colors and patterns from magazine images of commercialism and reassembled them into chronicles of asylum seekers drawing parallels with pilgrims of the past, focusing on the overlap of faith, courage, selflessness, and determination.
